Fun Fact
Benzoin was used by the Ancient Chinese and Ancient Egyptians to make temple incense. Dry perfumes in the Medieval period often featured Benzoin, including that favoured by Queen Elizabeth l.
Bergamot

Fun Fact
Bergamot is a natural hybrid of bitter orange and lemon, and people would add its oil to Black tea in the 18th and 19th century. This was originally considered uncouth but is thought to have been championed by Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, the British Prime Minister in the 1830s.

Galbanum is the resin of a flowering plant indigenous to Iran. It has been used in perfumery, medicine and aromatherapy since ancient times, and is referenced in the Old Testament. Exodus 30:34: “And the Lord said unto Moses, ‘Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum.”

Linden Blossom features prominently in Norse and Germanic mythology, in which it is connected to Freya or Frigga, the guardian of life and goddess of fortune, love and truth. According to German folklore, no one can tell a lie whilst standing under a Linden tree, which is identifiable by its heart-shaped leaves and fragrant flowers.
Rose Maroc
